The Tingari are a group of Ancestral Beings who travelled through the Kanapilynga region, south east of Lake Mackay region performing Malliera, sacred initiation rituals which are associated with many Dreaming sites, stretching from near the Western Australia border to Central Australia. These Dreaming Sites and songs are depicted in the traditional ochre colours of the desert.
