Description: This painting depicts Tingari site at Kiri Kulu in the area of the artist’s birthplace, this sacred claypan rock-hole site is used for performing Malliera (initiation) ceremonies. In this painting the lines connect various sites and formations and represent the paths or travelling lines between these important cultural sites. The Tingari people form part of the teachings of the post-initiatory youths today as well as providing explanations for contemporary customs. A beautifully executed blue chip investment artwork. Comes with 12 working photos. His record auction price was achieved at Sotheby's July 2005 for Hail-Storm at Kaakuratintja 2002 which sold for $59,250.
