Description: Thomas depicts his sacred terrain in a strikingly unique way. His work displays uncommon strength, mathematical balance and poetic harmony. The subject of his work is the Tingari Cycle, secret song cycles sacred to men. The Tingari are a group of Ancestral Beings who travelled through the Kanapilynga region, south east of Lake Mackay region performing Malliera, sacred initiation rituals which are associated with Thomas’ many Dreaming sites, stretching from near the Western Australia border to Central Australia. These Dreaming Sites and songs are depicted in the traditional ochre colours of the desert. The Tingari people form part of the teachings of the post initiate youths today as providing explanations for contemporary customs. One of Thomas's best works and a Blue chip investment work and a valuable asset in any investment portfolio including a self managed super fund
