Maureen Hudson Nampijinpa

Maureen Hudson Nampijinpa was born in 1959, in the bush, at Mt Allen cattle station near Yuendumu, Northern Territory as part of the Anmatyerre/ Warlpiri Tribe. Her country is Mt. Wedge & Mt. Allen (Kerinyarra).
She began painting in 1981 and the demand for her work has increased steadily over the years. Her Dreamings originate from Warlukalonga, her Fathers and Grandfathers descendants country involving Emu, Fire, Flying Ant, Water, Possum, and Women’s Ceremonies.

Maureen has held many solo exhibitions throughout Australia, emerging as a highly respected artist in her own right whose works are sought after by collectors worldwide.
