Description: This Traditional painting depicts Aboriginal women with their digging sticks and coolamons controlling a fire they started to generate new life north of Yuendumu. They are hunting fleeing emus which try to escape the fire. The stippled lines represent the colours and contours of the land were aboriginal people have known how to survive and live in harmony with the land for thousands of years.
