Description: A rare painting depicting the Bush Banana called the “Langua” which is an edible bush fruit found in the area of the artists’ birth place. The different colours of the fruit show the different stages of new growth with changing seasons. The Bush Banana is regarded as a delicacy by Central Desert Aborigines. The Seven dot circles in the centre of the painting represents Janet’s seven sisters gathering the fruit to take back to their families.
