Description: This is a Limited Edition Giclee print of 50 which is fade resistant (200 years) and has a quality and intensity of colour that is unique to the medium. This painting depicts the Bush Banana called the “Langua” which is an edible bush fruit found in the area of the artists’ birth place. The different colours of the fruit show the different stages of new growth with changing seasons. The Bush Banana is regarded as a delicacy by Central Desert Aborigines. The vine is used to make Bush medicine & women dig into the root system to find witchetty grubs, which are a valuable source of protein. The Seven dot circles in the centre of the painting represents Janet’s seven sisters gathering the fruit to carry back to their families.
