The Australian Aboriginal was isolated in the oldest Continent when the ice melted and locked in a population whose way of life changed little, until two centuries ago, when white-man arrived.

They were able to survive the white invasion and the inevitable changes forced upon them. The seas also locked out influences from Europe, Asia and America ensuring a unique flora and fauna.

The Wandjina are the Gods of the Aboriginal people. The hand depicted on the painting signifies that the Aboriginal is part of the land.

As modern art, the ancient icons passed on from one generation to the next over thousands of years without change, have had an enormous impact on world art markets and museums alike over the last two decades.
